Polo was introduced at Courances in 2015 with the inauguration of the Terrain Federal, continuing a long family tradition upheld by the Ganay family. It also served as a complementary activity to the development of real estate on the estate, with the launch of holiday cottages and rentals.
After more than a decade of activity, polo came to an end at the close of the 2025 season, marking the end of a cycle during which players, training sessions, tournaments and events contributed to the identity of what Courances is today.
In a context of global concern about environmental issues, the plot will be rehabilitated with the aim of promoting biodiversity and the development of natural environments. This project is in line with actions already implemented in this direction, such as agroforestry and agropastoralism. We would like to thank everyone who has supported and followed us over the years: the French Polo Federation and the many clubs in France and abroad, the players and teams, as well as our members and players at Polo de Courances.
We would like to thank all the service providers who have supported us throughout these seasons (referees, photographers, food trucks, first aiders) and the many spectators who came to cheer on the teams from the sidelines.
Finally, we would like to extend a special thank you to our polo managers, the entire team at Parc de Courances for maintaining the field and the staff who helped ensure our tournaments ran smoothly.
